Children
Story Time
We currently do not have a set story time scheduled, but if you stop in and would like someone to read to your kids, just ask! Kari loves reading with children and will happily pause what she’s working on to grab a fun book and a simple activity to share.
Summer Reading
Our programming in June and July takes on a special theme each year, as we join the state library system to focus on a topical love of learning, living, and literature. This program is 8 weeks in length with many activities and crafts. We will put out a calendar of activities in May and we do request that parents sign up each student beforehand.
Our summer reading program gives out gifts to each student 3-18 years old for participating in our program. This ONLY happens through donations of gifts. Please consider donating a gift of your choice to the library for our kids. We do have an Amazon wish list on our Facebook page if ideas.
STEAM Play Room
Books are great, but kids also do a lot of their learning through open play and exploration. The children's room features a variety of STEAM-related toys and activities for children to play with. We also offer a makerspace crafting center in the main library that children can use to explore and flex their imaginations.
