Children

Story Time

Our programming for kids happens on the first and third Wednesday of the month from 10:30 to 11:00. Join us for a fun-filled half hour of reading books along with an accompanying craft or activity.  Feel free to stick around afterward for free playtime. It's a fantastic way to teach children to love literature as they learn to play together. If no one shows up by 10:45, we postpone.

Summer Reading

Our programming in June and July takes on a special theme each year, as we join the state library system to focus on a topical love of learning, living, and literature. This program is 8 weeks in length with many activities and crafts.  We will put out a calendar of activities in May and we do request that parents sign up each student beforehand.

Our summer reading program gives out gifts to each student 3-18 years old for participating in our program.  This ONLY happens through donations of gifts. Please consider donating a gift of your choice to the library for our kids. We do have an Amazon wish list on our Facebook page if ideas.

STEAM Play Room

Books are great, but kids also do a lot of their learning through open play and exploration. The children's room features a variety of STEAM-related toys and activities for children to play with.  We also offer a makerspace crafting center in the main library that children can use to explore and flex their imaginations.
